PYP ADOPTION CENTER located at The Freehold Raceway Mall has been closed due to COVID-19. We have made the hard decision to permanently close this facility, effective immediately, and will be actively looking for another location. Once we find a new venue, we will post it on our website. In the meantime, we are still in business and can be reached by phone at (732) 252-9686 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Since the Adoption Center has closed, you may have a few questions:
1) With the Adoption Center closed, how can I help?
Pick Your Paw is a volunteer based, nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization. As such, we need your help with spreading the word about Pick Your Paw and all of the available dogs and puppies just waiting for their furever homes. Please stay connected with us on Facebook and spread the word to all your friends and family on Instagram, Facebook, etc.
2) How will I know what dogs/puppies are available for adoption?
3) What’s the process for adoption?
Once you find a puppy or dog you’re interested in, fill out an adoption application and turn it in. Our Adoption Counselor will review your application, check your references, and be in touch to arrange a home visit. If you have other pets we will bring your Potential New Best Friend to your home (or a neutral spot) so we can introduce the Fur Kids and make sure everyone is on board for their new family member. This process can take a few days depending on schedules, so be patient and remember – Great things are worth waiting for!
4) Can I fill out an adoption application and be a Pre-Approved Adopter?
Yes! If we do not have the perfect dog for you right now, you can go ahead and submit your application to become pre-approved. We’ll get all our pre-match checks done ahead of time so when you find the dog you want, you’ll be ready to go!
5) Do you still need foster homes?
YES PLEASE!!!! We always need foster homes, for both adult dogs and puppies. We also need short-term foster homes to care for dogs just coming into our foster. They need 2 weeks to rest and for us to be sure they are healthy before they can be placed for adoption. Please email us at email@example.com or call Tammy at 908-433-1796 if you are interested in fostering!
